A tremendous story. I would love to read the source of it. The only valid reference about war dogs that I know, comes from Bernal Diaz del Castillo, a Cortezīs soldier which accompanied him and fought in all the battles for the conquest of Tenochtitlan. He does mention the dogs, but he speaks about the spanish mastiff. I donīt believe the spanish would waste a good slave feeding the dogs...too expensive and unecessary...
