Sorry for the delay. I'm having to part with this keris and wanted to see if anyone might be interested. This is a Jawa keris with old Jogjakarta wronko in Gayaman style (figured Timoho wood and brass pendok), a silver mendak (lung wideng), and a newer figural (wayang) hilt. It is from the Pajajaran era and dates to between the 13th and 16th century, so it's arguably one of the earliest dhapurs around. The dhapur sepang form is extremely scarce and I haven't seen any in this form since I purchased this over a decade ago (from Alan Maisey).

As I recall, the blade has a different pamor on each side of the blade as well as pamor motif Batu Lapak on both sides at the sorsoran. This is pamor triwarna, or 3 pamor types in one piece (It's meteoric, I tell you!! ). The peci is intact and its incredible thinness is a testament to traditional washing over the centuries. Again, I can't overstate the rarity of this dhapur style, plus its great age. I'm trying to find a new home for this scarce keris, asking price $300.00

Thanks!
Mark
