It seems as the last charge was carried by those from the Lancers country of origin, Poland, where they had prevailed, even after being found inadequate, due to course of time and war evolution.
The Polish Ulanos extinguished themselves with glory, during a charge in September 1939, rather more desperate and suicidal than that of Balaklava, against the panzers of the Wehrmacht, in the Krechowce plains.
