While i think i have been more fortunate than some in many of my purchases in most cases you really do get what you pay for. Your question really doesn't have much meaning because the quality of keris varies soooo greatly. Yeah, i once bought a decent Madurese "tourist" keris up in Nova Scotia for 40 bucks. I bought it mostly because it belonged to the captain of the Picton Castle and it had sailed around the world with him a few times. It therefore has added meaning to me, but the actual value of the keris is probably about what i paid for it. In general i think you might find that the price one pays for a keris is a personal matter that many people will not wish to discuss.
