I thought wrongko (AKA wranka?) only referred to the transverse part at the top of the sheath and sarong was for the entire sheath. However, given the lack of agreement amongst the hilt pages you posted, I am thinking about using “transverse part” instead of wranka or wrongko from now on. Seriously, can wrongko serve double duty and mean either the transverse part or the entire sheath depending on context or is sarong for sheath just another error that has been bandied about and wrongko is actually the correct term for sheath?

I don’t know how reliable Google Translate is but, for what it’s worth, selecting Indonesian to English resulted in dhapur being translated as “form” but when Javanese was selected, the English translation was “kitchen”. The translation of pamor in both Indonesian and Javanese was translated as prestige. Curiously though, when translated from Javanese, “prestige” was all lower case but when translated from Indonesian, it was initial cap (Pamor).
