Your Samoan Nifo Oti's "teeth" were likely the most technically sophisticated and challenging part of wooden war clubs of which I am aware. It would be hard to beat that. There are other simpler examples with very good design, art and carving qualities that would be challenging to execute. Maybe something like this:

What are your goals: win a competition, challenge your skills or recreate wooden ethnographic weapon art for its own sake?
