Hi,
A nice old indigeneous Javanese sword you have there. Probably especially made by Javanese craftsmen for a Dutch marechaussee
(By order or for real use or as a gift).
What are the measurements?
You clearly can see the Dutch colonial 'style' in this piece. Also the double edge of the blade tip could be derived from the Dutch Hembrug klewang 'clip point', but than more prolonged (according the blacksmiths or owners taste).
It is from around 1870!
