I can't improve on Kurt's review above.

My copy arrived today, and it is every bit as fine a production as the first, filled with gorgeous pictures of museum-quality weapons, beautifully reproduced, and photos and illustrations that breathe life into the history the book encompasses.

It is an invaluable reference work fro the history of Central Asia, a must-have for students of the region and those who collect and admire the arts involved in arms and armor.
