Hi Maurice,
It's a quite heavy shield with 1884 gram, pure leather, very thick, old and shows holes from bullets or spears, see the pics. Diameter approx. 40 cm. The leather is very hard and polished and cracked on the surface. It was once a real bargain from an auction house in Amsterdam, together with a very nice Dayak paddle.
