Looks OK to me. Robust and fit for purpose! The edge looks like it was sharpened which is a good sign. I think the bottom nails came off the langets which left the bottom end flapping, so rather than fixing new nails a previous owner simply cut off the bottoms. The cut off parts left marks on the wood so you know they were there.
