I have seen these attachment clips only by Sulawesi badik but this doesn't mean that they can't be found by badiks from other regions. See pic.

The white material looks like bone to my eyes, I would need to see the badik in hand to be sure about the material.

The pamor at the base of the blade is either "batu lapak" or "kul buntet", again, I would need to handle it and maybe we would only be sure when we would loosen the handle. See here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ght=batu+lapak
