I think i do understand what you mean here Alan. I have a number of patrem in my collection and have noticed that they do tend towards a less exuberant presence then most of these.
Do you have any comment on the notion that small keris may have been produced for young boys? This still seems unlikely to me given the nature of keris, but no one has yet to comment on this idea and this is not the first place i have heard such a thing suggested.
