Good Day for every body
last input, purchased from a Frenchie forumite
small "kindjal" from Dagestan, most probably 20th century
text and more especially the date, are certainly apocryphal
traduction is as follow;
HADJ DAOUD DAGESTINI either
PILGRIM DAOUD DAGESTAN
1127 either
1714 which it's unrealistically,
the dagger and even the blade are not older than 50 to 60 years
the handle is made of two plates of blond horn,
attached by two silver buttons
scabbard in white metal, with very fine silver filigree,
the tip is ottoman style with a dauphin head
dimensions
total : 32 cm
blade and handle: 29 cm
blade: 16 cm
I ran last year the souks of Samarkand, Bukhara, even I visited the second hand market of Tashkent
... and ... I didn't found something,
NOTHING ... even not a single "junk"

at least, I bought 1 "Pichok" in Bukhara, but a recent production ... full desolation
also to garnish a little bit my corner's "Caucasian", I bought this one
