The tropenmuseum is really nice to hang out. A lot of the Dutch colonialism can be see there.
Also a cool New Guinea exposition they have there.

But be aware that from the huge online database they have, only a tip is exhibited for public.
But if you also like tribal art, it is really a great museum.....

You can also go to the antique district of Amsterdam. You have to be in the area around the "Spiegelgracht". There are a lot of galleries, where you also can find some tribal art. Nice to see, but for me impossible to buy things there because of the high prices......
