A Spectacular Moro Blade With a Not-So-Spectacular Hilt

Normally we like to find fine, even spectacular, Moro blades on hilts of quality that match the quality of the blade.

Here is one that definitely doesn't follow that rule. It's a superb twistcore...

This is the nicest one I have seen. It looks to be a Persian mid-19th-century shamshir trade blade(with "AssadAllah" workshop marks and cartouche) made into a shashka. I love it......

Ian, the blades here are generally very good and made in a variety of forms and forging techniques, but no twistcore.

I think this particular group could all be considered fighting blades.
