The inscription MAY BE Turkish but the 4 punch marks underneath are definitely Arabic numbers and read 2179. Not a date obviously, but perhaps an armoury number.

Yes it COULD be 19th century but I would not like to guarantee that. Lets say late 19th to mid 20th to be on the safe side. Others might be willing to date it more accurately :confused:

Looks to me to be Moroccan/Algerian. The "banjo" shape is typical of Morocco but the surface decoration looks Algerian.
Nice flask though missing one hanging ring.

Just to add a little to your opening post, Morocco, or at least part of it was a Spanish Protectorate, so the presence of Spanish blades in that region would not be unusual IMHO.

African Spears for ID

I am lead to believe that these spears are from Tanzania or at least that general region. Can anyone please confirm that. Also are they actual spears or purely decorative items?

This Sind also has a spliced stock, but only one splice, and never glued by the look of it.Simply held by the bands.
