Just a quick one. Is this a typical variant of kerdas hilt? Any ideas on restoration without scrapping its original sapan (finishing) and sealing the cracks?

I'm not sure where the blade is made. I'm guessing Sulawesi. I was told that the blade was previously owned by one of the Selangor Royal family member. True or not? I really dont know. :)
