Hi everyone, I was wondering where is this shamshir from. The blade is characteristic Persian, but the fittings make me think it's of Afghan origin. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Restoration of cartouche / gold inlay

Hi everyone. Is it possible to restore cartouches with gold inlay? I have a few Asadullah blades that require such restoration. Is there an expert for that?

Restored shamshir

I found this high-quality Shamshir in a rather poor condition. Apart from rust, it had a missing pommel cap and tang bands. The grip scales too were bad fittings.

Strange repair to shamshir cross guard - Advice needed

Hi everyone. I got a persian shamshir with an Assadullah mark not so long ago. The shamshir was in a terrible state and hence got it at a bargain price.
