I have some other old items and certainly durability of that scabbard is significant in comparison to others I have. Inside there is a wood. Outside covered with velvet..and seems cut, repoussed...

Old scabbard identification

Sharing pictures of very nice scabbard. Appriciate any other references to similar ones and identification.

It's very solid and originally was gold plated.

Thank you Tatiana. Blade, based on those two fragments in the picture looks older. Maybe re-hilted in Qajar era. Do you have any pictures of similar hilts/blades?

Persian hilt identification

Trying to find similar hilts examples to the one attached below. Looks like that hilt was a part of the sword (straight blade). Is that persian?

Appreciate any other references you may have.

Please find attached close helmet. What I found a little bit not typical is that visor part is not opened in separation to main front part. Was that common? or was that appearing in that type...

Thank you very much for your comprehensive answer. You are fully right ! It nicely matches with cretan design, but it is not typical to have it as qama. Anyway Cretan work.

Unfortunately blade has no markings. Indeed it is similar to persian trade blades, might be older. I have attached few Pictures, where similar blade, or hilt shape...

I suspect persian blade from minimum XVIII.. but maybe XVII..
