I would hazard a guess on Baluch, and the brass fitting is for the match. The plain tube is a snuffer to put it out, the pierced part to keep a live coal safe and live.

A fair old mix of gear

Swiss Family Robinson 1960 displayed a fair old mix of gear with the pirates. Apparently there were complaints that the oriental pirates looked too Oriental and villainous.

Today's purchase Sunday 15th March.

Local arms and militaria fair, and this was on the table and it left with me for a bargain price! Mounts are "alpaca" and nicely elaborate.

Last purchase of 2025, sold as a Regency era British sword but not finding much about it. Brass hilt, fish skin covered grip and a straight single edged and fullered blade. Unmarked or stamped though...

This is another fairly recent purchase and again of the type I refer to when I say Dehradun. probably bought in the bazaar during WW2 , a bit crude in forging and finish but with a well made belt...
