A Karud
Was fortunate to find a nice wootz karud at the show in Timonium. Pretty sure it has rhinocerous horn scales. Not fancy, a tribesman's weapon. Just wanted to share.

Pretty much everyone in Central Asian is a tribesman.
Clan affiliations are still real strong there. It's is urban work from one of the fomer Khanates, probably Bukhara. Looks lke rhino in the pics. Nice piece, congrats. |
Thanks Gents,
It had a tag on it that said Bukharan dagger. Apparently it was one of the few ethnic pieces that was described correctly by the dealers other than Artzi and Jimmy. :) Steve |

Love the pattern in the blade. :D You did real well at the show this year congrats. Btw was the dagger marked civil war or revolutionary war? ;) :p Lew |
Steve, you have some really beautiful pieces. I'm glad you're such a good photographer and are willing to share them with us.
