Thanks to Battara

Hi Battara,
In a previous thread, you advise me to look for a book" The Treasury of the World" showing the Al-Sabah collection . I found it in the MET in New York.
Thank you for this advice. This book gives pictures of beautiful weapons and jewels. It came today and is a real Xmas present.
I just join two scanned pictures of Khanjar as these were the subject of my previous thread.
Thanks again, you made my day.

Michel

You are certainly welcome. It is a wonderful book and I drool over and over on the pages. As a reference on provenance, it is not that great. As a reference for what true pieces look like, quick description of technique, and materials used, it is superb. Glad you were able to get it. Merry Christmas indeed! :D
