A Pattern welded barong

Received this barong today, and after a polish and etch, it showed a nice pattern. I'm thinking that the blade was rehilted sometime in the mid 20th century, or perhaps it was made then. What do you think?
Thanks for looking.
Steve

Lots of "bling bling" Steve.

Do you have a close up of the hilt and of the blade fitting in the hilt ?

Did you clean/polish the hilt, or was it already like this ?

Best regards,
Willem

Very nice puppy - I think everything is original.

Thanks for the comments gents. As requested, pictures of the hilt. It looks like the blade has been reset (not far enough in) into the hilt with some kind of putty, maybe an epoxy. Thinking about trying to get the blade out by heating it with a heat gun. Might just leave it alone.
