Kindjal or Qaddara?

5 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone!
I bought recently this ''Kindjal'',it is 62,5cm long and 5,30cm width.
It has gold inlays one snake and a human figure.

Can you tell me if it is Persian or Caucasian,Kindjal or Qaddara?

Thanks

Libra

Neither.
This is a Qajar-era Iranian Qameh, a knock-off of a Caucasian Kindjal ( Khandjali). Qaddara is ( originally) a South-Caucasian single edge dagger that also found its way into Iran through Azerbaijan. Stone called very big Kindjals ( Qammehs) Qaddara, but in the Caucasus they are known as Satevari.
Double-edge= Kindjal, Qameh; single-edge= Qaddara.
