I just picked this up at a gunshow and I don't know what it is. The one mark is not very clear. I know it is over cleaned, but it was cheap. My first guess was Russian.

Hi BJ,
This very munitions looking piece is likely 1850's to 70's continental sidearm, very much like German states and Austria type weapons. The casting of the hilt seems unusually dull, and while the style of the hilt resembles the weapons issued to pioneers, this seems smaller and the blade of course does not have the typical serrated back.
Could not find match in Wagner, but more research might turn something up.
All the best,
Jim
