Who is the "demon " hilt?
I am curious about who he might represent. Any ideas?
I have this kris since 10 years.

I also think this is a later "devolution" of the kocet-kocetan hilt based on the common misunderstanding that it represents a horse...

The blade doesn't seem to be etched in Bali style - Lombok with a bit of Bugis influence?

Possibly, but with that hair (mane) it looks distinctly more horse-like.

Perhaps. Still i see very little stylistic links to the kocet-kocetan. The posture is different, there are "human" legs and arms and an object is held in the hands. Horses are a common theme in Madurese hilts so it doesn't seem too far fetched that a horse theme was the original intent here as well. :shrug:
