French sabre model AN XI à la chasseur

Just watch this setup.
The hilt dates from the Napoleonic period; the Bisch stamp denotes it was made at the Klingethal Manufacture, basically around 1812. Later its owner, most probably a Husard, had it repaired with a new blade, this time at Chatellerault in 1834. Pitty there is no scabbard. Fernando . |
Nice!
I recently sold a Marengo hilted sword, its blade replaced with with a later shorter National Garde inscribed version. Best M http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...tionale3-1.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...ationale12.jpg |
