Just watch this setup.
The hilt dates from the Napoleonic period; the Bisch stamp denotes it was made at the Klingethal Manufacture, basically around 1812.
Later its owner, most probably a Husard, had it repaired with a new blade, this time at Chatellerault in 1834.
Pitty there is no scabbard.

Nice!

I recently sold a Marengo hilted sword, its blade replaced with with a later shorter National Garde inscribed version.
