Turkish khanjar with porcelan handle

Hi, we see ofthen small turkish daggers with this type of handle and with usually straight blade, but what about this one? It has an older tupe blade and a porselan handle!
What is the age of this and is it something actually used and worn or sold as an export item?

No opinions? Ariel? Yiannis?

I have seen the piece in the auction you got it. I didnt like the scabbard, it looks like cheap work. Also all together looks strange, a kind of composite.

I think I have seen a similar hilt in a book, long time ago. Did you search your library? I dont have time to search, so that is all I can tell now.

A bit too fancy for my taste. Porcelain is not very sturdy ( bitter experience at the kitchen...), and tends to make it rather decorative.
The form of the handle is peculiar; perhaps real, perhaps... from other source? And, indeed, the contrast between the elaborate handle, gold ornament on the blade and rather cheap ( although old!) scabbard is suspicious.
It doesn't tickle me. But, again, "De gustibus..."
