Writing a paper on Viking weaponry, please help

Hello everyone. I'm new here, so please forgive me if I am not posting in the right area.
I am a student currently writing a paper on Viking age weaponry, specifically swords. However I am having difficulty finding complete and legitimate information on sword categories and the like.

If anyone could help me out, or point me in the right direction, it would be a great help.
