Steel Bow Identification

Hi,
Can anybody help identify this steel bow? 62 inches in length, gold (& traces of silver?) overlay? decoration. Later wire grip.

I thought I would also try and bump this to get some replies. I have some more information that may get some minds ticking.

I purchased the bow at the recent London Arms Fair....where I did meet one or two of you for the first time! Glad to see you made the trip. For those who haven't been, its worth a visit.

The seller guessed it was Italian but wasn't sure. I thought it may be Indian at first glance, but then quickly changed my mind, and settled on Chinese or Mongolian.

However, to confuse things even further, a French Dealer swore blind it was French! Any guesses would be well recieved, I cant be any more confused than I already am!

Thanks,
Runjeet

It does not have the form of a Chinese or Mongolian bow. Some better pictures of the decoration would help.

Thanks Josh, Chinese and Mongolian possibly ruled out...that leaves European then? I have attatched some images to help you further, but it is hard to capture the decoration as it is a little worn,
Thanks for your help,
Runjeet
