South East Asian Warfare 1300 - 1900 : Michael Charney

I'm thinking about ordering this book . The only review I've read is on the SOAs website by Jon Fernqist but it seems enough to whet my appetite .

Has anyone else read this book ? Any reviews appreciated especially with regards to the use of weopanary in premodern SEAsia .

It's a new one for me, and it looks like one I'm likely to order. :)

Try this link for the review from Jon Ferquist. There is a chapter on Personal Weaponary which would be interesting to Dha fans .

I agree with Fernquist that Charney should write another book investigating into greater depth premodern warfare in Burma.
