THIS IS MY LAST ADQUISITION, THE SELLER TOLD ME THE SWORD WAS FROM BORNEO AND THE SWORD HAS 60 YEARS MINIMUM, WHAT DO YOU THINK? IS A MIX BETWEEN A KERIS AND A PARANG? SOMEBODY HAS ANOTHER SIMILAR?
THANKS!!
CARLOS

Hi carlos,
Interesting item. To my untrained eye, it doesn't look like a keris. The hilt and blade looks more like a sword. The outline of the hilt looks like a variation of the makara-styled hilt. ;)

There are a lot of similarities with this knife. The hilt, the top part of the scabbard and the forte of the blade. Anyone with more info do not hold back. Malayan, Borneo?
