hey everyone just picked this one off ebay, can anyone tell me anything about it? the blade is 12 inches and the axe total is 41 and a half inches

Hi!

It is fighting aaxe called Bullova. They come in various forms and yours is one of the more typical. They were used by Chota Nagpur tribes from central India. Earliest examples has a blade rivetted to the rod later single piece construction was implemented.

You have a nice battle grade piece from 19th century.

Thanks guys, I am very pleased with this one, I picked it up for a very very low price so I love it that much more. Id been looking at battle axes for a while and picked up a ceramonial one but it just dint have the presence that a real battle weapon has so I said good bye with it just it time to find this peice. :D

Hi CollectingNewbie, another nice addition to your collection......just one question ........'Newbie' seems to be a 'misnomer' since many of your posted 'pieces' have some quality........perhaps you should change it to Collecting-not-such-a-newbie-anymore ;) Or is that too long :)
