Anyone watched the Italian produced series on Netflix, about a late 19th century pirate that sails around Borneo and Indonesia.
I started watching it to see if any traditionally correct weapons are featured. There are a mishmash of weapons being used.

The shows pirates reminds of Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson.

I haven’t seen the new version but heard it wasn’t good,
The old version on the 70’s was fancy but made without any special effects
Saw it as a child 😁,
The fiction story come from a book ́’ The tigers of Mompraecem’́
written in 1900 by Emilio Salgari.
