an antique indian saddle ( rajasthan?)
 

I'm selling a beautiful old saddle, probably from northern India. A similar saddle was pictured in Roy Elvis's collection...
I can't say how old this saddle is, but I think it's at least from the 19th century.
The material is probably hardwood decorated with iron fittings (these were attached to the wood with nails). The saddle is in good condition for its age.
The metal fittings are almost completely intact, with only a small piece of iron missing from the front pommel.
The saddle has the following dimensions:

Width: 31 cm
Height: 23 cm
