I bought a blade marked ‘ARMADA PERUANA’ - most likely of German manufacture.

Interesting rapier blade, modern, acid etch 'ARMADA PERUANA ' (=Peruvian Navy???)
Possibly early 20th c officers sword of commemorative style? Anybodys guess on hilt as blades were put into whatever hilt was preferred by whoever was using the blade and in what context. With Spanish context my guess would be some sort of cup hilt of the traditional forms. |
