Unknown spearheads
2 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
I have a trio of spearheads that I have not been able to identify, any help would be greatly appreciated. The first two are nearly identical and came with basket scabbards. I suspect they may be Asian but I'm not sure from which culture/region. The third is a fancy, probably ceremonial, piece and I have no clue where it comes from. - ADS |
Hi ADS,
The two similar ones are typical working knives from Thailand, they are still made today. Regards, Detlef |
the third spear appears to be African (to me) .
It is near impossible to say whether it is old since it was polished |
Hi ADS,
I agree with Detlef. The first two are mainland SE Asian work knives and are seen widely in that region--Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and probably in other neighboring areas as well. |

the third one is indeed African, Congo I think and bears similarities with the 2 Konda Nkundu knives and used on ceremonial staffs like the 2 Konda Nkundu ones on the picture to the right

Thank you all, these were head scratchers for me. Thanks for the images gp, definitely looks like a match.
