Mandingo or not.

You can tell I had a good couple of Antique Arms fairs over the last week or so. Another piece rescued from the dealers tables. All leather and fabric grip, the typical brass button finial on the tang, and a nearly straight blade with three shallow and narrow fullers, so I am guessing a trade blade. The leather on the grip is worn away in one place so I wonder if there is anything could or should do about that. It is blunt as anything, so I reckon on it being made for those who travel, or anyway never intended for use as a cutter.
