Antique... what? A scabbard!

I bought this knife years ago with plans to restore it. I didn’t do it and I see it lay there and accusing me for this. :o
Blade is antique but nothing special. Hilt is a replacement from another knife. Stag horn and silver fittings on it. But in my opinion it does not match with this excellent 19th century scabbard. The last is Ottoman period, probably Balkan, wood covered with original cloth (velvet?) and big silver fittings. If you got an authentic knife to match it you won the lottery. Total size (straight) 35 cm. Price $150 including registered shipping. If you have a knife that may can fit I buy it! |
