Bikaner Armory Lance Butt and Spear Head

Hi all, I picked up this lance head and butt at the last gun show, pre-Covid and finally decided to post it here with several questions. They were purchased as a matched set yet I strongly suspect that the lance head is earlier than the butt and is Indian, the head Indo-Persian. The butt has markings which suggest it coming from the Bikaner Armory and I would ask if anyone on the Forum can interpret the markings for me. The marking appear on the butt and have used candle black to reproduce the markings as the do not show up well with my camera.

I've attached a recent link re the armory as reference.

Nice to see. I had a set like this and then sold it to a friend. The problem with spears is displaying them, in a low ceiling flat!

I agree David, the interesting parts are high and low! I was going to attach a pole of some type to join these two but as I mentioned I think they really don't go together. I think they will be displayed vertically along with some other similar items.

Both top and bottom are really nice. It took some skill to make the butt and the tip definitely has a pattern. Re the lance head, I'm considering polishing a window to see the pattern in better detail.

I have a spearhead here from the Bikaner Armoury that I thought might be useful for reference. I've liked everything I've seen and handled from Bikaner. Solid, no nonsense weapons.

Any chance there is someone in the forum who can translate the writing?
