Russian copper plate. Hero to ID
2 Attachment(s)
I have just bought this rather interesting and well made copper/enamel plaque in a local antiquary. After that i browsed the Web and learnt that the guys depicted in these works are in principle local heroes, mytical or real.
What i don't know is who is the one in this plaque. Could any of the Russian speaking members read what is in the label and whether (most probably), the personality depicted is mentioned ? Thanks in advance. , |

Oh my ... This is the fastest ID post i have ever received.
Much obliged ... and Merry Christmas to you  . |
I guess I just happened to be browsing the forum immediately after you posted the thread, and since the name of the hero is written in the back, answering was quite easy. Merry Christmas to you as well!
