African powder horn?
5 Attachment(s)
I have had this for years and it has just come to mind to show it here. Not sure how far we get with it. 20cm long, diameter at the wide end 7cm. The hide at the wide end is fixed, only the cap at the other end can be moved.
Any information on the use of black powder guns in Africa? would greatly appreciated. I know they were used. It does not strike me as Zulu, it is not necessarily African the Naga had access to guns. |
2 interesting pages
These are all I could get access to. My feeling is that this powder horn is possibly East African only because I have beadwork from the area threaded on wire as is the case on the horn.

Hello Tim,
I have access to both articles, would they be helpful to you? Emanuel |
Emanuel, that would be great. I am not into guns but the history is always interesting. Thamks Tim.
