Offer here for a friend a very nice and rare sword. It's not the area of my collecting so here his description:
French 1816M Cuirassier Trooper's Sword In very good condition, a rare 1816M French heavy cavalry (Cuirassier) sword, dated March 1822. Guaranteed authentic, the poinçons (inspection stamps) of Louis François Lobstein is correct for the date. The impressive and long 39 1/6 inch (99.5 cm, slightly longer than normal) blade is in very good condition, still strong / sound and firm in the hilt. The massive hilt is also in very good condition for its age, only some of the twisted grip wire bindings are lost. The outside of the steel scabbard has surface rust but the inside is clean. The sword sheathes and draws very well. Asking price is 1300 Euro or $1483, shipping price depend on destination and could be more expensive as normal because the length of the sword but it will be not more as paid byself.
