dagger for comment

Hi!

I've bought that dagger lately and it puzzles me a little about its origin. The scabbard suggests the turko-syrian origin but the blade looks quite shula (fuller runs out the blade??!!) and the S quillom is more like Maghrib origin. The hilt horn and it is strange.

14 inch overall.

I still haven't recived it yet, I'll post better picturs when comes home.

Any comments?

I see some similarities between your knife and this one. Notice the open fuller, the white (ivory/bone) handle inlay, the shape of the blade, and the suggestion of the ridge along the spine near the ricasso.

I am pretty sure that this knife is from Turkey, they made many different odd little knives ,like this ,that we dont see often.

Recived it and it is a nice one! I would still say Norhtern Africa, there was one verry similar in construction on last Herman Historica.

Any further comments?
