Unusual Jamadhar Katiri blade

Hello All,

I have just won this dagger at auction. These are the seller's photos. I believe this dagger is an older jamadhar katari from the Hindu Kush valleys of Nurestan, Afghanistan near the border with Pakistan.

I was particularly intrigued by this shape of the blade of this dagger. Other examples of the jamadhar katari that are familiar to me have a pointed tip, whereas this one has an unusual diamond shape. I've never seen this type of tip before.

Do you have any comments, authoritative or speculation? I am familiar with the multiple threads on the jamadhar katari in the this forum.

If I have bought a worthless piece of rusty old metal that would also be fair news to share :)

Best Regards,

Dave A.

Hi Dave A,
Interesting item, you need Jens for this one.
