Welcome to our little forum! :D

Nice Ottoman jambiya/khanjar! Lots of koftgari. I'll bet that once it is polished and etched you'll find wootz in the blade.

I'm sure one of our Arabic speakers will chime in soon.......

polish and etching

Thank you Battara...

how you should proceed when etching and polishing . Do you have experience in it. What should I do if I polish and etching it . Can you tell me whether it is useful to polish the blade ... it is no longer in genuine condition

That is a gorgeous khanjar/Jambiya. Thank you for sharing it. I am also interested in any advise experienced collectors can offer for cleaning and polishing vintage blades. It is a little intimidating. No one wants to damage an item in their collection!
