Hi!

The debate of an unknown non-japanese sword in the other topic, gave me the idea that i show one of my pearls. Certainly not ethnographic but rather interesting and quite rare, the japanese cavalry officer sabre. Since the japanese made their swords in base of the height of the owner, I would say thatone was a property of a huge person (se the comparison with an usual navy) and with samurai pedigree, see the mon. Anybody familiar with mons? Whic clan had that?

I don't recognize the mon, but here are a couple sites that might help.
