Hello everybody,
does someone know the origin / age of this kind of dagger ? The seller told me it was perhaps english or american, period 1950 ?!... Thank you for any information. Frankie |
Hi Frankie
Not a British regulation weapon, private purchase maybe? Looks quiet ethnic to me maybe also post in ethnic area of forum Regards Ken |
Hello,
thank you, I'll try too in ethnics weapons. Best Regards Frankie |
doesn't look 'issue' at all. it'd have stamps if it were. as suggested elsewhere it's likely a custom job or DIY. might not be a bad knife, except for that guard. running around in the real world of a commando, you'd have a good chance of landing on it & ruining your day. i can't see any practical use for that, looks awkwardly placed to use as a striking point. if you get close enough, a nice draw cut would work better. might be there to look 'cool'. from the alignment of the blade/guard to the grip & the apparent peened bit on the pommel end, it doesn't look like the tang is particularly strong either...

Hi Frankie,
You should have noticed in the front page that this is not the type of things that we aim to discuss in this forum. Thread closed. |
