Another Chinese? Martial arts weapon
3 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
Here is another treasure I found as a result of my recent move. All wrought iron, handmade, and old, I would judge it to be mid 19th century, give or take. I picked it up from the same source and at the same time as the sai, or "hairpin" I posted recently. |

That's a cool thing, but look out carrying it. I bet it's considered knucks for law enforcement purposes...

That is an interesting item. Thank you for sharing. Can you take a picture with it in your hand as you feel it would be held for use.

Sure!
I think this is the right way to hold it for use. An old girlfriend who competed in martial arts/weapons in China years ago held it like this, but I'm sure it could be wielded in several different ways if necessary, depending on the use. |
Thank you very much for putting this up. I think this is a real jem.

Yes, a Chinese friend who was second in her age/weight class in the nation (China) in Wushu weapons drill liked it a lot.
I've never seen another like it. |
I have never seen another like it either. :)
