I received a catalogue in which this sword caught my attention. It looks like a very dangerous sword: each peak is made of several rows of shark teeth...
It was used during ritual confrontations says the catalogue... (Let me also say that I have no profit-sharing with Sothebys but I thought one may be ethnographically interested, as I was) |
IT IS A NICE OLD ONE AND THE LONGER CENTER SPEAR MAY HAVE 4 ROWS OF TEETH INSTEAD OF THE USUAL TWO. THE GRIP IS USUALLY A LITTLE LONGER BEHIND THE TWO GUARD PRONGS A UNUSUAL EXAMPLE.
